Whole Lot of Shaking Going On...

INCREASING EARTHQUAKES

Whole Lot OF Shaking Going On..........

Of all the destructive phenomena of nature, the earthquake is most devastating. In just a moment of time entire cities have been leveled, courses of rivers have been changed and lives of thousands of people have been snuffed out.

An earthquake is a shaking of the ground caused by the breaking and shifting of subterranean rock, as far as 400 miles down, under tremendous pressure. The earth's surface is very mobile even though it appears solid and stable.

In 1935 Charles F. Richter devised a scale based on instrument records to measure the relative intensity of earthquakes. A small earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter Scale is called a micro-tremor and is very frequent. A more intense quake of 4.5 does minor damage, and any earthquake over 6 magnitude is potentially very destructive.

Approximately 80% of all earthquakes occur in the Pacific "Ring of Fire." The "Ring of Fire" is composed of those areas adjacent to the Pacific Ocean. One of the heaviest earthquakes in history occurred within the "Ring of Fire" when 25,000 square miles of Alaska lifted up causing $750 million dollars in damage and took 114 lives in 1964.

The Mediterranean area and lands eastward across Asia (including the Holy Lands) receives about 15% of all earthquakes. The remaining 85% is scattered throughout the rest of the world.

About 100 earthquakes of potentially destructive magnitudes of 6 or above occur each year and authorities agree that the number is increasing. Since 1968 twenty five  major earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 6.2 to 9.0 have taken approximately 450,000 lives and caused untold billions of dollars of property damage.

Scientists are now trying to devise a method of predicting earthquakes. By predicting successfully an impending earthquake, they hope people can be warned and moved to safer areas until danger has passed.

Long ago John, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, predicted increasing earthquakes in quantity and strength that would affect all mankind. Four great earthquakes will occur during the seven year period of tribulation following the removal of Christians from the earth.

The Tribulation Period will be a seven year period during which the wrath of God will be poured out (Rev. 6:17) and during which Satan will move fully unto the stage of human events. Terror and tragedy will begin. John gave us a preview of this time in chapters 6 through19 of Revelation. As God's judgement is poured out upon defiant and unbelieving mankind surely earthquakes will be one of his most dreadful means.

The first great quake will occur during the latter part of the first half of the Tribulation (Rev. 6:12-17) when the Lamb of God will pour out wrath on mankind.

Following a period of silence in Heaven, an angel (Rev. 8:5) will cause the second great earthquake when he hurls a fire-filled censer 'to earth. This could occur in the form of a great meteor falling to earth, but whatever the method it will happen and the earth will quake and tremble.

Many thousands of men, women and children will die in the third earthquake prophesied by John. During the last half of the Tribulation two witnesses (Rev. 11:3) will be killed by the beast. Following the resurrection of the two witnesses (probably Enoch and Elijah) after being dead for 31/2 days, they will ascend to Heaven (Rev. 11:7-13) and at the same time a giant earthquake will destroy a tenth part of Jerusalem. Those persons surviving will give glory unto God for what they have witnessed.

Quickly following will be the greatest earthquake in the history of man, and this fourth earthquake is foretold in Revelation 16:18, when Jerusalem will be divided into three portions. Mountains will be moved into the sea and new islands will appear. The entire surface of the earth will be changed as God destroys the works of man. The remains of this mighty shaking will be destroyed by giant hailstones weighing about sixty-five pounds. Read about it in Revelation 16:17:21.

That last great earthquake will be quickly followed by the return of Jesus to earth where he will fight the greatest battle of all time, the Battle of Armageddon. Jesus will win the battle, and with His saints will reign as the reconstruction process takes place. For one thousand years the earth will undergo a renovating process prior to the new Heaven and new Earth (Rev. 21:1).

The time of these cataclysmic earthquakes is fast approaching. There will be an increasing number of lesser earthquakes as God uses them and other signs to warn mankind of his soon return. Matthew, Mark and Luke tell us of the signs to watch for as Jesus prepares to return for his saints.

As all other prophecies in the Bible have come to pass, so will these. But God in His mercy has provided you with an escape plan for the terrible times to come. God gave his Son, Christ Jesus as a sacrifice. You must, Truly Genuinely Repent, be Genuinely Biblically Baptized and Truly believe on Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, for the remission of your sins and for the receiving of the True and Genuine Holy Spirit of God (Acts 2:37-39).

Sincerely,
Pastor Dale Morgan
