Welcome to the City of Tomorrow

Welcome to the City of Tomorrow
Text & graphic by Richard W. Posner
Text & graphic by Richard W. Posner

A society is by definition a social entity: 3 a: an enduring and cooperating social group whose members have developed organized patterns of relationships through interaction with one another.

Notice that the definition reads "cooperating", not competing. No such entity exists today in America, or ever has to the best of my knowledge, anywhere, in the history of the world. In the U.S. there is currently a fascist enterprise, its' sole purpose being the subjugation and exploitation, for profit, of all humanity. It is well on the way to achieving its' goal.

We have been launched into a state of permanent war. Cheney, Bush and the rest of the new royalty have no intention of relinquishing control in their lifetimes. Despite eloquent claims and seemingly astute observations by numerous pundits of the incompetence of the Bush administration, the Project for the New American Century is well underway. No such incompetence in fact exists.

Sometime before the '08 election, American will experience another false flag "terrorist attack", a new and improved 911. Martial law is just around the corner. Within the next 3 to 5 years we will see the North American Union become a global, military dictatorship featuring Bush with his ball & Cheney as supreme commanders. While we fiddle the world will burn.

As long as free market capitalism exists so will war. Death has become the most profitable enterprise in history. Devout free marketers have no conscience, are untroubled by morality or ethics and live only for profit.

We can't fix any of the problems of America, or humanity in general, until we can cure the disease of greed. Until we learn to share we will continue to kill.

As resources essential to survival become increasingly scarce the aristocracy will become more and more concentrated in several mega cities. Most of the remaining population will be conscripted to various labor populations outside these cities controlled by Blackwater type "security agencies" and maintained by the likes of Halliburton. There they will be forced to produce the goods required by the masters. A smaller number of "lucky" peasants will be kept within the cities to function as servants providing "services" and distributing goods.

It will be an era of global slavery with the great mass of humanity in thrall to a relatively small group of the ultra rich and powerful. But, because of their insatiable greed and lust for dominance, the masters will continue to ignore the simple reality of a finite ecosystem with limited resources. They will persistently consume at obscenely wasteful levels and the global climate disaster will continue.

Eventually it will become impossible to provide the level of luxury to which the elite have become accustomed. Finally even essentials will become scarce. The cities will begin to squabble over dwindling necessities. In time these minor skirmishes will escalate to intercity wars. These conflicts combined with the disastrous affects of addictive, unbridled consumption will lead to something akin to the fall of the Mayan Empire but on a global scale.

Perhaps, at some time in the very distant future, the next intelligent life form to inhabit the Earth will stumble upon the ruins of what were once massive, opulent cities hidden in dense jungle growth and wonder how such an "advanced civilization" suddenly disappeared.

I must apologize. I find myself increasingly amused at the prospect of the extinction of the human race. What has become particularly comical is the increasing numbers of folks wringing their hands over the plight of this, that or the other species that is about to disappear forever. People running around beseeching us to "save the Earth" haven't got a clue. The Earth isn't going anywhere. We are. We should be talking about saving the humans. A happy byproduct of saving ourselves would, by default, be "saving the Earth"! We can't have us without it! What part of this don't we understand? The Earth did just fine without us for billions of years. After we have successfully followed the dinosaurs into extinction the Earth will continue to evolve and flourish without us. It will heal itself. It will bring forth new species to replace of those that have gone.

Perhaps another species will follow an entirely different evolutionary path to "sentience" and achieve that thing that humans never could: Civilization.

The Creator Of Marriage

The Creator Of Marriage by Henry Morris Ph.D.

"Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?" (Matthew 19:4-6)

The Lord Jesus has settled forever (for those who believe His words) the question of human origins and the historicity of the Genesis account of creation. God created Adam and Eve as full-grown adults in the beginning, united as husband and wife--not a population of primates slowly evolving into people over millions of years. The multitude of skeptical scientists and liberal theologians who have insisted that the "two" accounts of creation in the first two chapters of Genesis contradict each other here stand sharply rebuked by the Creator, Himself, for Christ quoted specifically from both Genesis 1:27 and 2:24, thus accepting both of them as valid, historical, and complementary accounts of the same event.

Furthermore, He who is the heavenly Bridegroom confirmed the Genesis teaching that the first and most basic of all human institutions was the home, and that marriage was designed by its Creator to be monogamous and permanent.

Although modern evangelicals may have differing opinions concerning acceptable criteria for divorce and remarriage, it is obvious that "from the beginning it was not so." The ideal marriage is even used by Paul as a picture of the loving, permanent union of Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:25-27). God, in His grace, does forgive sin when it is confessed and forsaken--even sin against the marriage covenant--but this does not eliminate the accompanying suffering and heartbreak.

How much better to follow God’s creative purpose in all things, especially concerning marriage and the home.

The Wall Of Partition

The Wall Of Partition

by Henry Morris, Ph.D.

"For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us." (Ephesians 2:14)

This middle wall of partition is a figure with important symbolic applications. The only specific Old Testament reference to a partition is to the wall shielding the Holy Place in the Temple of God as built by Solomon. "So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold" (1 Kings 6:21). This gold-covered wall separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies, where God met annually with the high priest at the Ark of the Covenant. Apparently the opening through the partition was covered with a thick veil, preventing others from entering or even seeing the Ark inside. But that veil was rent, and soon the wall itself torn down, when Christ died and rose again, forever opening the way to God for all who would come in faith through Him (Hebrews 10:19-20).

The "middle wall of partition" mentioned in our text, however, refers to a wall separating the court of the Gentiles from the rest of the Herodian temple. This is the only New Testament reference to a partition, and symbolizes the distinction placed between Jew and Gentile in the Mosaic economy. This economy served the divine purpose of preparing a nation to receive the coming of Christ, with the goal of providing salvation for all people. But this wall also has now been broken down by Christ, and "through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father" (Ephesians 2:18).

No longer is there a distinction between priest and people, or between Jew and Gentile, or any other difference. "There is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all" (Colossians 3:11).

Matthew 26:41

The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak

Matthew 26:41 - Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Most of us fall into temptations because of our ailing prayer life. There were times when I had fallen in the flesh and the reason of this; the Lord showed me was my prayer life. It is not the quantity of time that we spend to pray that matters but quality is given more importance.

We have the habit of first giving importance to all our daily cores, our house work, our office work, our important TV programs, our outings etc.. and after all this we will remove time for the Lord, for prayer. We have the habit of giving the residue of our time for the Lord. The most important being in our life gets the worst of us. When we are in regular communication with the Lord there are very less chances of us falling into temptation.

The Lord understands the weakness of our flesh, but to overcome it, we need to be in communication with Him, and that happens in spirit. Even if we are reading our Bibles daily or studying the Word of God we can not ignore our prayer life. It is in prayer and worship that we receive the anointing. Anointing is the ability that we receive from God to do the job, it is like skill and the Word of God is like the tools. When we have both, the tools and the skill, we can get the job done. Ignore either one of them and we will have problems.

Get up early; spend a little quality time with the Lord. Thanking Him and worshiping Him for who He is. Speak to Him and He will answer.

Lord God, I am sorry for not giving due importance to You in my every day life. I make a commitment today to spend more time and quality time with You. Teach me how to prayer to You like Daniel and Jesus did. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Three Worldly Powers

Three Worldly Powers by Henry Morris III, D.Min.

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." (1 John 2:16)

This well known passage identifies three fountainheads of ungodly power that will, if unchecked and unguarded, ensnare a believer into a sinful lifestyle.

Sensual power (lusts of the flesh) is a body-oriented and emotion-driven reaction to fleshly appetites that can never please God (Romans 8:8) and is in constant warfare with the Spirit of God (Galatians 5:17). We are told to "flee" these "youthful lusts" (2 Timothy 2:22) that are a "corruption" (2 Peter 1:4) of the "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14) God-designed human body.

Visual power (lusts of the eyes) is an intellect-oriented and imagination-driven stimulation of wishful thinking that will take control of behavior (Matthew 6:22-23) if not carefully curtailed (Job 31:1; 2 Peter 2:14). Although impacting men more than women, this kind of "lust" will "conceive" sin instead of merely reacting to it (James 1:13-15)

Personal power (the pride of life) is a self-oriented and ego-driven desire for dominance that has no ethic or limiting factor, other than the praise of men, not God (John 12:43). Such pride, dominated by the "natural mind" (1 Corinthians 2:14) and a "deceitful" heart (Jeremiah 17:9), spirals into a self-love that twists and distorts human behavior into a litany of ungodliness that loves pleasure rather than God (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

Giving in to these "worldly" powers may grant us pleasures for "a season" (Hebrews 11:25) but will surely make us an "enemy of God" (James 4:4). May our Lord Jesus grant that we stay armed against such "wiles" (Ephesians 6:11), covered and protected with the "whole armour of God" (Ephesians 6:13-17).

Proverbs 11:25

"He that watereth shall be watered also himself.” Proverbs 11:25

We are here taught the great lesson, that to get, we must give; that to accumulate, we must scatter; that to make ourselves happy, we must make others happy; and that in order to become spiritually vigorous, we must seek the spiritual good of others. In watering others, we are ourselves watered. How? Our efforts to be useful, bring out our powers for usefulness. We have latent talents and dormant faculties, which are brought to light by exercise. Our strength for labour is hidden even from ourselves, until we venture forth to fight the Lord’s battles, or to climb the mountains of difficulty. We do not know what tender sympathies we possess until we try to dry the widow’s tears, and soothe the orphan’s grief.

We often find in attempting to teach others, that we gain instruction for ourselves. Oh, what gracious lessons some of us have learned at sick beds! We went to teach the Scriptures, we came away blushing that we knew so little of them. In our converse with poor saints, we are taught the way of God more perfectly for ourselves and get a deeper insight into divine truth. So that watering others makes us humble. We discover how much grace there is where we had not looked for it; and how much the poor saint may outstrip us in knowledge. Our own comfort is also increased by our working for others. We endeavour to cheer them, and the consolation gladdens our own heart. Like the two men in the snow; one chafed the other’s limbs to keep him from dying, and in so doing kept his own blood in circulation, and saved his own life. The poor widow of Sarepta gave from her scanty store a supply for the prophet’s wants, and from that day she never again knew what want was. Give then, and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, and running over.

If Israel Attacks

IF ISRAEL ATTACKS

Israel has maintained secrecy about its nuclear weapons program. Officially, the Israeli government had maintained a policy of “deliberate ambiguity,” saying only that Israel will not be the first country to introduce nuclear weapons into a Middle Eastern war. This carefully worded statement was designed to avoid having to deny that Israel actually possesses nuclear weapons.

Still, along with India and Pakistan, Israel is one of the three sovereign states possessing nuclear weapons that have not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Israel made this decision simply to avoid lying about the nuclear program the world knows it has.

The existence of the Israeli nuclear weapons program was first disclosed by Mordechai Vanunu in the London-based Sunday Times, on 5 October 1986. At that time, Vanunu was a thirty-one-year-old Israeli who had worked for ten years in a top secret underground bunker at Dimona in the Negev Desert, the site of Israel’s nuclear reactor and the country’s nuclear research establishment.

Vanunu published a series of photographs in the Sunday Times, which permitted international nuclear weapons experts to determine that Israel possessed a sophisticated nuclear arsenal, estimated to rank as the sixth most powerful in the world, behind America, Russia, Britain, France, and China, but ahead of India and Pakistan.

Since the 1950s, the United States had refused requests from Israel to help build the country’s nuclear capabilities. Israel got the assistance required from France, which built the Dimona reactor and supplied Israel with the plutonium-extracting technology which was required to transform the Dimona reactor from civilian purposes into nuclear weapons capability.

Studying Vanunu’s photographs, nuclear experts in 1986 estimated that Israel might have as many as 100 to 200 nuclear weapons of varying capacities. This was more than ten times what experts had estimated prior to Vanunu’s revelations. For smuggling a camera into the Dimona secret facility and taking more than sixty photographs, Vanunu was convicted of treason. In April 2004, Vanunu was finally released, after serving eighteen years in prison, including eleven years in solitary confinement. Estimates in 1997 placed the number of Israeli nuclear weapons at some 400 thermonuclear and nuclear weapons.

Before her death in 1978, Prime Minister Golda Meir told friends that suicidal thoughts had plagued her during the Yom Kippur War. Yom Kippur is the Day of Atonement for the Jewish people. It is the year’s holiest day. Prime Minister Meir referred to the surprise attach by Egypt and Syria. The initial forays by Israel’s two enemies were disastrous. Moshe Dayan, the Minister of Defense, is said to have called for nuclear bombs to be put aboard fighter planes and nuclear warheads placed on Israel’s Jericho missiles. He wanted to be ready should the attacking Arab states reach the point-of-no-return in endangering the State of Israel.

Dayan was gravely fearful that the attack would result in the destruction of what he referred to as the “third Commonwealth.” The first had been destroyed by the Babylonians and the second by the Romans.

US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger prevailed on President Richard Nixon to assist the Israelis by providing weapons and ammunition in the most massive airlift since the Berlin Airlift following World War II.

Israel’s nuclear weapons have always been considered the core of what has commonly been known as the Samson Option. The strategy is named after the biblical story of Samson using his great strength to bring down a temple, killing a great number of enemy Philistines, as well as himself, in the process. Israel has sworn “never again” in relation to the possibility of another Holocaust. Given this determination, the Samson Option postulates that Israel would be willing to use extreme measures if the country’s survival were at stake.

In the crisis with Iran, the Samson Option has been used to mean that Israel would attack Iran in a preemptive war and would be willing to use nuclear weapons. Iran’s possession of nuclear weapons is seen as a threat to Israel’s continued existence. In other words, Israel would be willing to attack Iran even if the result of an Israeli preemptive strike ended up being retaliation by Iran that ended up with Israel’s destruction. The Israelis judge that destruction in a military conflict with an aggressor like Iran would still be better than doing nothing and waiting to be destroyed. Passivity in the face of aggression has always been judged to be a mistake the European Jews made against Hitler. In extreme situations, Israel can be expected to attack, rather than to delay too long. This is why Israel’s patience for negotiations with the mullahs can be expected to run out. Israel knows the mullahs are trying to buy time and that time in this crisis works against Israel.

Analysts argue that Israel’s current nuclear arsenal opens up many strategic possibilities short of the Samson Option.

Israel has the type of relatively low-yield tactical nuclear weapons that can be selectively fired to eliminate specific targets. Low-yield “tactical nukes” could be used to hit the type of hard-ended underground centrifuge farm which Iran has built at Natanz to enrich uranium.

Israel’s larger nuclear warheads have been adapted for the Jericho series of missiles. Israel first began developing these missiles with French assistance in the 1960s. The Jericho II is a solid fuel, two-stage missile that Israel has test fired into the Mediterranean Sea at ranges estimated at around 1,300 kilometers (800 miles).

Reportedly, Israel has had a multi-stage Jericho III under development, more truly an intercontinental ballistic missile with a range of around 4,800 kilometers (3,000 miles).

Israel also has cruise missiles which can be adapted with nuclear warheads, such as the Popeye Turbo which is designed to be air-launched from Israel’s F-15 and F-16 fighter jets. The Popeye Turbo can also be launched from the three Dolphin-class submarines the Germans built for Israel.

While details of the Israeli nuclear arsenal remain highly classified, analysts believe Israel can launch relatively low-yield tactical nuclear weapons from the air and sea via Israel’s fighter aircraft and submarines. Conceivably, Israel could mix tactical nuclear weapons delivered via fighter aircraft with cruise missiles fired from sea. Higher-yield nuclear warheads deliverableby Israel’s Jericho II missiles would most likely be held in reserve, waiting to see what retaliatory responses Iran launched and how the war escalated from the initial attack.

The above is an excerpt from Dr. Evans’ book Showdown with Nuclear Iran.

Right And Left

Right and left

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

God is Spirit and about the spirit world we hardly know anything. The Angels too are spirits and we have learnt in the Bible that they can take any form. Spirits do not have definite form like us, who are made in the flesh. That does not necessary mean that they are like gas or smoke, what we normally imagine. If God's form is not defined than how can there be a right side and a left side? Wherever God's right and left or west and east directions are referred to in the Bible, it depicts the good side of righteousness and the bad side. That does not mean God has a bad side.

Like our hearts have four sections which interconnect to two, one section brings in the bad blood from the body to be cleaned and the other section pumps out the good blood to the whole body. The two sections do not interconnect. Similarly righteousness has two sections; one side which cleans the bad parts of us and of this world and the other side which gives God's goodness to the rest of us and to everyone connected to us.

We need to function like the heart, discerning the bad from the good, washing away the bad and spread goodness (according to God not man) to all.

Prayer

Father God, make me to function like your heart. Bring into me the understanding of your righteousness. You have given me your Spirit, Who helps me to discern. Help me Holy Spirit to discern according to You and do not let me lean on my mind. Let my heart beat continuously according to You; the timing You have set in me. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.
