In Memoriam: American Patriots

Monday is Memorial Day, that exceptional day of each year all Patriots reserve to formally honor the service and sacrifice of generations of uniformed Patriots now departed -- Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen who honored their sacred oaths "to support and defend" our Constitution and the liberty it enshrines.

In this era, however, our "progressive" academic institutions choose not to teach genuine history or civics. Consequently, many Americans have no sense of reverence or obligation for the liberty they enjoy. Indeed, many will "celebrate" Memorial Day as any other holiday, with barbecues, beer, and commercial sales at local malls. Simply put, they have sold out Memorial Day.

However, those of us who do understand the cost of liberty will advance this custom in honor of fallen Patriots, with both formal rites and simple prayers. For it is through the legacy of these Patriots that we are able to see most clearly our nation's noble history of eternal vigilance in support of liberty.

Tell The Children, "Never Forget"

Memorial Day weekend has become more of an occasion for rest and relaxation than for reflection about our heroes and the values they died to preserve. This weekend, I hope and pray that we can learn to do both relax and remember. Let's go the ballgame, have that picnic, hug our kids and have some fun at the beach.

But let's also remind ourselves, and our children, about what happened at Concord Bridge, the fields of Antietam and the beaches of Normandy. Let's explain to them why there was a Berlin Wall, what happened at Okinawa and the price that was paid to stop fascism and Soviet communism. The same resolve that allowed us to persevere in those conflicts will be necessary if we are to overcome our current challenges.

In short, with America facing so many dangers internally and externally, let's take a moment this weekend to teach our children and grandchildren to love the things we love, and honor the things we honor. Finally, let's remind ourselves as well as our children that all liberty is a gift from God and that each generation has paid in flesh and blood to preserve it.



For those of you who want a place to start, try reading to your kids and grandkids these words from Lincoln's Gettysburg Address:

"We have come to dedicate a portion of that field as a final resting-place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. But in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow this ground. The brave men, living and dead who struggled here have consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here".

And ending your family activties with a prayer of thanksgiving for those who gave their lives for our freedoms.

A Slave To God's Law

Live In The Now

Whether or not this extraordinary intervention of God will happen in our time, no one can say for absolutely sure (however, there is definitely a general sense throughout the world that this present evil cannot continue unabated.) So live now, in the present moment, fulfilling with joy the will of God as He reveals it to you, even if it involves grand plans. It is not "success," but faithfulness He wants; not necessarily the completion of good projects, but the desire to fulfill His holy will.

So the story goes…

A brother approached Saint Francis who was busy working in the garden and asked, "What would you do if you knew for certain that Christ is going to return tomorrow"?

"I would keep hoeing the garden," he said.

The duty of the moment. The will of God. This is your food, waiting for you moment by moment upon the trajectory of your life.

Jesus taught us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done," but added, "Give us this day our daily bread." Wait and watch for the Kingdom to come, but seek only daily bread: God’s trajectory, as best you can see it for today. Do it with great love and joy, thanking Him for the gift of breath, life, and freedom.

In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thess 5:18)

And do not worry about tomorrow, for there are three things which remain: faith, hope, and love. Yes, hope—a future full of hope—always remains…

Journey Of A Lifetime

16 What I am saying is this: run your lives by the Spirit. Then you will not do what your old nature wants. 17 For the old nature wants what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is contrary to the old nature. These oppose each other, so that you find yourselves unable to carry out your good intentions. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not in subjection to the system that results from perverting the Torah into legalism. Galatians 5:16-18



My holy people; is it clear enough for you? My Great Heart desires the very best for you and the very best for you is to be led by My Spirit, not by your good intentions. Good intentions seem to be good, but actually there is nothing good about them at all, for good intentions spring out of the old nature and are filthy rags to Me. Instead, I desire you to be led by My Spirit, for being led by My Spirit springs out of the new nature and I see this as faith in operation for those that truly desire to follow Me.
Are you a follower of Mine or are you a follower of your own good intentions. You make the call. Are your decisions a result of going to the place prepared for you, receiving My instructions to you and then My counsel for you? Or are your decisions a result of following the teachings your soul has learned from good teachers and preachers?
You may not like the answer to that. You may not even like the questions that I am asking of you, but you must come up to the highest place with Me. You must repent, you must make the decision, to truly follow Me or just follow good advice and teachings of others. My Great Heart cries out to those who would have the same desire in their heart to follow Me. Arise, come up to the highest place and begin your journey with Me.
This journey is not just for today, but it is for your entire lifetime. It is My way of living for you. It is a journey of adventure and of mystery, for as you truly follow Me, the great mystery begins: Christ in you, the hope of glory begins operating within you and continues to sustain you. The power of the Kingdom is released in and through those who follow Me.
So today, make your decision. Will you follow Me? If so, begin the journey. I will set things in order as you begin journeying in Me. Seek My Face. Call upon My Name. Allow My will in heaven to manifest on earth today; as you truly follow Me.

Something Strange Is A Foot

There are strange things happening in the world today - extraordinary things that augur for the convergence of prophecy with the "here and now;" of the "natural" with the "supernatural;" of the "spirit world" with the "world of science and technology;" and, finally, of the Scriptures with the world of politics and culture. My Voice Moves Mountains

10 For just as rain and snow fall from the sky and do not return there, but water the earth, causing it to bud and produce, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater; 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth - it will not return to me unfulfilled; but it will accomplish what I intend, and cause to succeed what I sent it to do." 12 Yes, you will go out with joy, you will be led forth in peace. As you come, the mountains and hills will burst out into song, and all the trees in the countryside will clap their hands. 13 Cypresses will grow in place of thorns, myrtles will grow instead of briars. My holy people; hang on to the strength of My Word toward you.

I have not wasted breath and I have not forgotten My promises to you. All that I have spoken shall come to pass. All that I have promised shall be fulfilled. For My love for you is not empty, but full and My grace is sufficient for you in everything.

As I speak, mountains are crushed and new life springs up. My anointing breaks through the strongest barriers and My Word crashes through any obstacle. Through the blast of My Breath comes thunderings and through the sound of My Voice comes breakings. I do not stand quietly by as I speak, but I unleash a mighty shaking and tumult. I speak to your situations and circumstances and in the blink of an eye these situations and circumstances change. They are no more and there is no threat of return, for I have spoken from My holy temple and I have sounded the call to arms that will destroy any remnant of the enemy in the midst.

My Glory

My holy people; so are you called to make a difference, a significant difference in the land of the living. All is not lost. All is not confounded, but My Great Heart is clear to you, to make a difference, to make a difference right where you are, to a people that have often despised you and rejected you. My call and My choice is what matters here, not what people say, not what those that despise Me and My ways, for it is what I say that matters and I tell you plainly; I am for you.

I am for you in ways you have not yet discovered. I have set things in motion to totally reformat your life, you service and your future, in Me. I have repositioned you and I have restored you, even in ways you have yet to discover. My Great Heart of love toward the lost, toward My Church and toward you have convinced you. You have found that My joy is truly your strength and that no substitute will do. Absolutely no substitute will work or be found to this, for it is only through My strength that the things I have asked you to do will occur, that what I have called you to be and become will be genuine and lasting and will make a difference.

You have asked Me and inquired of Me that you make a difference and I have granted your request, I have opened your eyes to the possibilities and even now your sight is being restored to what I desire it to be. Your eyes have been opened; use them, see what is ahead, with an intense gaze, set your eyes toward the day and see through My Great Heart what is in store, for it is as you see through My Great Heart, your eyes will choose to serve, rather than to receive. You have been given freedom to choose to do My will in the land of the living. You have been given an identity to form and fashion the work I have for you to do. Use all to My glory and you will see My glory come to earth, even as you see it in the place prepared for you.

Frequent the place I have prepared for you and load up with all that you need to invade the land of the living with My love and My power. Don’t hold back, but move forward with purpose and with passion. I am with you. Do you understand it now? I am with you and nothing by any means can hurt those that are Mine. The enemy will try but his weapons are useless against Mine. For My love is stronger than all the hate in the world. My love chooses to lay down your life, that you may take up Mine. My Great Heart dictates that you will take up your cross to follow Me. My promise is for those that lose their own life, that they may live life to the full.

In the days ahead, walk closely with Me. Link arms with Me, delight in time spent with Me; for things are shifting and things are changing in many areas of your life. I will show you how to live, depending fully on Me; even day to day and moment to moment. This is the covenant I offer to those that follow Me. I will become all of your life, if you let Me. Shed the rags of your own, to become wrapped in the garment of kings to My glory and fame. Allow Me to clothe you in the garments of a pure and an undefiled heart. I am looking, searching, and recruiting for My great army.

Nothing by any means can harm you, as you continue with a steadfast heart toward Me. Seek Me with all your heart. You will find Me and when I come; let Me have My way. I am looking, searching and recruiting for such a people.
