The Love Of A Rich Man

The "end of days" is all about money Rev. 13:16-17; this is a fact that most Christians want to ignore; but it is the main reason why American Christians in these "Latter Days" are being compromised; why they are so blind as to what is occurring right in front of their noses – so that...

"In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
"For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them." Matthew 13: 14-15

These are the ones about whom Jesus said:
"Thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I WILL SPUE [VOMIT] THEE OUT OF MY MOUTH.
"Because thou sayest, I am [materially] rich, and increased with [material] goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art [spiritually] wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked ..." Revelation 3:15-17
But, naturally enough, it is one thing to read about this in Scripture, and another thing to see it played out in someone's life.

How does a rich man ever know that he is truly loved? The sad truth is, he doesn't so long as he retains his wealth. But should he lose it, then he will find out. Great crowds of people followed Jesus so long as he fed them and healed them of their diseases. But when tribulation arose because of the Word He spoke, the crowds disappeared. Oh, to be loved because of whom you are, and not just because of the "things" you have! This is the love that God desires from those who follow Him. It is the love that Ruth gave to Naomi, and this even after Naomi had asked Ruth to depart from her because she [Naomi] had nothing further to give Ruth - she no longer possessed any "things" with which to "purchase" Ruth's love:
Ruth and Naomi
"But Ruth said, 'Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. "'Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may the Lord do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me'." Ruth 1:16-17

The Lord is looking for such to follow Him - those who will follow Him long after the "things" are gone, the crowds have left, the popularity faded; when the clothes are tattered and torn, there is no food on the table, and persecution rages all around. These are the disciples of Jesus - with such people one can repose trust and friendship, true love is here to be found!

Two Kings and Two Betrayals

By David Brickner Jews for Jesus
Act One
There once was a King who loved God with all his heart. Yet he was far, very far, from being a perfect King. In his anger he shed the blood of many men. In his lust he defiled himself with women. In his shame he hid his sin in deceitfulness and treachery. God loved this King very much, but being just, He would not spare him from the consequence of his choices. A conspiracy was laid against the King. His friend and most trusted advisor provided the counsel that helped lead to his defeat. The King was deposed from his throne by his own son, humiliated before all of his subjects and fled the capital city in disgrace.
But the King still loved God, and it was he, and not his son, who had been chosen to rule. In his pain the King cried out, "Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me." And being a clever man, the King prayed to the Lord to turn his trusted advisor's counsel into foolishness. Then the King secretly sent a second advisor back to the city to defeat the counsel of the most trusted advisor who was betraying him.
This most trusted advisor had such great ability that people considered his advice to be "like the voice of God." He counseled the King's son to shame his father in every way possible and to pursue his father immediately after, so that he might capture and kill the King while he was vulnerable. But the second advisor who had been sent secretly from the King recommended waiting to attack until later. To the surprise of many, the King's son accepted the advice of the second counselor rather than the one most trusted. Thus the King was able to escape unharmed. So distraught was the King's former friend and advisor that the son had rejected his counsel that he left the city, went home and hanged himself.
Act Two
There once was a King who loved God with all his heart.
He was a perfect King in every way. He cared deeply for all of His subjects, especially the poor and the downtrodden. He fed the multitudes and healed the sick. He did not look to be served but to serve, and to give his life for many. God loved this King very much, but being merciful He would not spare the King from the consequences of the sin of those he intended to save. A conspiracy was laid against the King. The King's friend and official treasurer provided the information that led to his arrest, trial and eventual execution.
But the King was a wise and courageous man. Even though he knew that his treasurer planned to betray him, the King entrusted himself to God and continued to keep his treasurer close, in his inner circle. He knew that the coming betrayal had been predicted and was the will of God. The King invited his treasurer along with his other close friends to a final meal together. During the meal the King informed everyone that there was a traitor in their midst. Then the King said that the prophecy must be fulfilled, 'He who eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.' And he handed his treasurer a piece of bread.
When the treasurer received that piece of bread, the evil plan he had in his heart took hold of him completely. He left the circle of friends and found those who were conspiring against the King. For a small sum of money he agreed to lead them to the spot where the King and his friends were heading. In that secluded spot, where the King was most vulnerable, the treasurer betrayed him with a kiss. The conspirators captured the King and led him away but his treasurer soon grew remorseful for his treachery. In despair he went and flung the blood money at the feet of the King's conspirators. Then he left the city and hanged himself.
Epilogue
By now you probably realize that both these acts tell of true tales based on the Scriptures. The kings are David and Y'shua; the betrayers are Ahithophel and Judas Iscariot (2 Samuel 15:1-37, 17:1-29; Psalm 41:7-9; John 13:1-38, 18:1-11). The parallels between these two stories were divinely orchestrated as Messianic prophecy and fulfillment so that we might understand God and His purposes more clearly.
Many other parallels between King David and King Jesus appear in the Psalms Sometimes these prophetic passages function like a telescope, whereby events in the life of David are amplified, going far beyond his own circumstances to fit and foretell the life of Jesus. Looking at these events, like seeing through a telescope, magnifies certain things that David experienced to encompass the far larger plan of God for the future coming of Christ.
At other times the Psalms function like a microscope; we are allowed to peer more closely at an aspect of David's life that reflects a very specific event or interaction that will also take place in the future life of Messiah Such is the case in this tale. The Messianic prophecy of Psalm 41:9 is a very focused reflection of the parallels between the betrayals of David and Jesus. They have similarities as well as differences. As we compare and contrast these events, they teach us not only about the lives of the two kings, but about our lives as well.
In Psalm 41:4 David prays, "LORD, be merciful to me; heal my soul, for I have sinned against You." Whereas David was aware of his failings and sins, the Messiah Jesus is perfect in every way. In fact, it was because our perfect Savior was betrayed and crucified that we can find healing for our souls and forgiveness for sins.
In Psalm 41:10 David reacts to his betrayers by asking God, "raise me up, that I may repay them." But when Jesus hung on the cross He cried out, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).
Perhaps you have faced seasons and situations where you experienced deep betrayal or abandonment by someone you once trusted. If so, you are not alone Many people experience similar pain at some point in life. When faced with such situations, we can identify with the pain that both kings endured. More important, we need God's grace to respond as did King Y'shua. His confidence in God's plan and God's Word was so certain that He was able to hand the bread of betrayal to Judas so that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
Likewise, even in the darkest of circumstances we can trust in the promises of God's Word so that we can confidently declare with both kings: "As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, and set me before Your face forever. Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting! Amen and Amen" (Psalm 41:12-13).

Our Children Are Being Kidnapped

I've been doing a research on the "Greek" Columns Obama had on one of his campaign stages. MSM never did fully (or did they and not tell?). I will pass on what I learn, this being what our children are learning. Something in our children's world of music and entertainment is such that every parent needs to educate themselves with. Wonder why our children are turning away from OUR Christian Heritage?

Kanye West's "Power": The Occult Meaning of its Symbols

Kanye West’s “Power” is a short, almost stationary video that manages to tell a profound story in symbolic language. By decoding the occult meaning of the symbols present in this moving tableau, the viewer discovers who really holds the “power” in the world and understands the story of Kanye West’s initiation. We will look at the meaning of those symbols as they appear in the video.
Rapper and producer Kanye West has always found a way to stand out from the crowd. His video Power is no exception. It differs from the MTV norm in many regards, whether you look at the content or the form. The duration of the video, the filming style and the subject matter are quite distinct from today’s typical rap videos as it is short (1:43), filmed in a single shot (compared to the one-shot-per-second standard of music videos) and is very rich in archetypal symbolism.
Director Marco Brambilla sought to depict the concept of power in the form of a “video tableau”, a moving painting that slowly reveals itself to the viewer with a continuous camera movement. The director seem to have perfected this technique in his previous creation, Civilization, a video mural created for the new Standard Hotel in New-York city. The symbolism present there is simply overwhelming.

We Are "The Final Generation"

An Inconvenient Truth
ON THE EDGE OF ETERNITY - REVEALING THE FINAL GENERATION

The Bible clearly tells us about that one generation, the generation that will be alive at the end of this age, would be "The Final Generation" Standing on the edge of eternity
"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." (Matthew 24:32-35)
I often lay awake at three or four a.m. meditating on God's Word. At such times, the Holy Spirit brings to my remembrance scores of texts from among the Prophetic Scriptures of The Bible.
The Holy Spirit emblazoned on my heart and mind the term "The Final Generation," as mentioned by our Lord in (Matthew 24:32-35). As I meditated on this subject throughout the remainder of the night, the blessed Spirit of God led me to the idea of creating a message, dealing with Biblical predictions, that no other generation ever saw fulfilled in the past 1900 to 2500 years. Instead, I saw that only believers living during the last half of the 20th Century and the first part of the 21st are fortunate enough to see these fantastic predictions happening with break-neck speed and with such rapidity that even prophecy buffs are amazed.
Needless to say, I became exhilarated, invigorated and activated. I could hardly wait to begin the most stunning, thoroughly documented work and spiritually stimulating project, "The Final Generation" this stirring truth in permanent form for this present generation that has found itself, Standing on the Edge Of Eternity, and get it into the hands of millions via the internet. Now, in its completed form, I believe this monumental undertaking to be one of the most important projects ever attempted and here's why.
Among the hundreds of thousands of lukewarm professing Christians who are "lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God" ( 2 Timothy 3:4) and who place prophecy on the back burner because Christ's return calls for preparedness and holiness (I John 3:2-3) such carnal believers declare: "we have always had wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes and typhoons. So how can these be signs pointing to Christ's second coming?" By their "ho-hum-it could be another thousand years"2 Peter 3:3-4 states: "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." actions and words-they actually become one of the signs.
To scripturally counter such disparaging statements made by deep freeze, "Laodicean" church members (Revelation 3:14-17) God led me to build a thoroughly documented work around the words of Jesus in (Matthew 24:32-35) where he dogmatically stated: "So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near (Christ's return), even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
From that point of time until now, I have extensively researched hundreds of prophecies in both Old and New Testaments, carefully examining every text to select exclusively the tremendous prophecies that only 20-21st Century believers have witnessed. After this exhaustive study, I have come to the only conclusion any honest person can -WE ARE THAT GENERATION -THE FINAL GENERATION - Standing Precariously on The Edge of Eternity!
Think of it! These prophecies, uttered 1900 to 2500 years ago, that only "The Final Generation" would live to see, have happened ... and every one of these predictions has occurred in your lifetime and mine. There's no doubt about it. Yes, you and I are that end-time generation.
" The Final Generation," including you, is alive and awaiting the most glorious moment in history-the return of Christ, when He breaks through the blue as a bolt of lightning blazing across heaven from East to West (Matthew 24:27). Then the prayer uttered for the past 2000 years will be answered: "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."
I exhort you to read this article immediately. Find out why you are a member of "The Final Generation." This article is literally inundated with the Word of God and documented evidence proving that the king is coming and is even "at the doors" (Matthew 24:33).
You must study this stunning, breath-taking information for yourself. See why you will most assuredly be part of "The Final Generation" that will not die off , but rather be translated and transformed into "new and glorious bodies" at The Rapture - to then live under the rulership of Christ and His glorious Kingdom on earth forever and ever.

Do You Not Know?

When you see a cloud rising in the west you say immediately that it is going to rain—and so it does; and when you notice that the wind is blowing from the south you say that it is going to be hot–and so it is. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time? (Luke 12:54-56)

The Wise Man in the Storm

The wise man in the storm prays to God, not for safety from danger, but for deliverance from fear. It is the storm within which endangers him, not the storm without.
~~Ralph Waldo Emerson~~
“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell".

Jesus of Nazareth

HE was without money and arms, conquered more millions than Alexander, Caesar, Mohammed, and Napoleon; without science and learning, he shed more light on things human and divine than all the philosophers and scholars combined; without the eloquence of the school, he spoke words of life such as were never spoken before, nor since, and produced effects which lie beyond the reach of orator or poet; without writing a single line, he has set more pens in motion and furnished themes for more sermons, orations, discussions, works of art, learned volumes, and sweet songs of praise than the whole army of great men of ancient and modern times. Born in a manger and crucified as a malefactor, he now controls the destinies of the civilized world, and rules a spiritual empire which embraces one third of the in habitants of the globe.

My Conquering Army

In the midst of troubling times, do not forget the Kingdom purpose for which you are called.

In the midst of resistance and persecution and trials and circumstances … you will find the working of My Kingdom.
Always there is resistance.
Always there is persecution.
Always there are trials.
Always there are trying and confounding circumstances.

Don’t forget that I experienced those things.
Don’t forget that the patriarchs experienced those things.
Don’t forget that My early followers experienced those things.
Right in the middle of it all is where I send breakthroughs, where I send overflowing abundance of blessing, where I overcome by My Spirit. Don’t look at what you see so much.
Look at the invisible things.
See what I am doing and rejoice.
Strength comes to those who wait upon Me.
Strength does not come to those that focus on the resistance and persecution and trials and circumstances. Strength comes to those who seek My Face, who call upon My Name and who spend time with Me.
Then, sometimes when you least expect it, I will surprise you with a windfall of My grace; right in the middle of it all.
You will survive. Even if all the things you worry about were to happen, you will survive. Because you are with Me and because you have one another. Don’t forget the Kingdom purpose for which you are called. Likewise don’t forget the Kingdom army that I have placed you within. You are not alone. It is not good that man or woman should be alone. I created My Church as the place where you can go, like a base station of sorts. You go back from time to time and spend time with the disciples in the midst. There, you pray for one another and are healed and prepared to go out once again. You are not alone and the reason you are not alone is that you cannot survive by yourself, like you have been trying to.
False humility has gained a strong hold within you. False humility has gained a strong hold within you because you have believed the lie that you can survive on your own, or your little group can survive on your own, not needing the overcoming prayers of the disciples together. You are nothing more than one of My disciples. I am Lord, and My disciples follow Me. My Church is made up of those who have great gifting and anointing; some with the distinct purpose to help you along the way. False humility and pride keep you from receiving My grace prepared just for you. You are not alone, make use of all of My grace prepared especially for you. You are not an army alone. Together, you are My army, called to overcoming victory.
You are beautiful to Me. You are beautiful as a conquering army, marching through conquered territory, all to our Father’s glory. Together with Me and together with the disciples, you are a conquering army and victory is assured.

Come And Listen

By Marybeth Whalen

"Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me." Psalm 66:16 (NIV)
Devotion:
Kids are fighting, complaining, whining.
To-do list is calling.
Emails are begging to be responded to.
Packing for a trip needs to be done.
Instead I sit with my journal and my Bible and drink Him in. I land in Psalm 66. What do you have for me today, Father?
Psalm 66:5, "Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man's behalf." (NIV)
Psalm 66:16, "Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me." (NIV)
I begin to list the things in my journal, taking time to write out what He has done. My joy swells. The noise diminishes. My life is good, rich, full. He has brought me out to a place of abundance (Psalm 66:12, NIV).
I need this reminder, to come and see what God has done; to take notes on His goodness to me. I am so forgetful. I want to remember more than I forget. To record what He has done before I move on and leave the past in the past, as I am apt to do. Before I extend my hand, saying like a petulant child, "What have You done for me lately?" It is good to stop and remember instead of rushing into my list of needs.
This day, I will notice the abundance instead of the lack. I will see the fullness instead of the decrease. I will run my fingers across words that mark His goodness to me and whisper the most important prayer I can offer: "Thank You."
Dear Lord, let my mouth and my heart praise You. Help me to remember Your goodness, the awesome things You have done for me. I confess that I am forgetful but I don't want to be. Help me see You at work and take the time to remember. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

~~Thanks to my Sister Vickie for sending this to me.~~

"Watchman, what of the night?"

"Watchman, what of the night?"-Isaiah 21:11.

WHAT enemies are abroad? Errors are a numerous horde, and new ones appear every hour: against what heresy am I to be on my guard? Sins creep from their lurking places when the darkness reigns; I must myself mount the watch-tower, and watch unto prayer. Our heavenly Protector foresees all the attacks which are about to be made upon us, and when as yet the evil designed us is but in the desire of Satan, He prays for us that our faith fail not, when we are sifted as wheat. Continue O gracious Watchman, to forewarn us of our foes, and for Zion's sake hold not thy peace.
"Watchman, what of the night?" What weather is coming for the Church? Are the clouds lowering, or is it all clear and fair overhead? We must care for the Church of God with anxious love; and now that Popery and infidelity are both threatening, let us observe the signs of the times and prepare for conflict.
"Watchman, what of the night?" What stars are visible? What precious promises suit our present case? You sound the alarm, give us the consolation also. Christ, the polestar, is ever fixed in His place, and all the stars are secure in the right hand of their Lord.
But watchman, when comes the morning? The Bridegroom tarries. Are there no signs of His coming forth as the Sun of Righteousness? Has not the morning star arisen as the pledge of day? When will the day dawn, and the shadows flee away? O Jesus, if Thou come not in person to Thy waiting Church this day, yet come in Spirit to my sighing heart, and make it sing for joy.

"Now all the earth is bright and glad
With the fresh morn;
But all my heart is cold, and dark and sad:
Sun of the soul, let me behold Thy dawn!
Come, Jesus, Lord,
O quickly come, according to Thy word."

Prison Chains

A Prayer for those in Prison

"The angel fetched Peter out of prison, but it was prayer that fetched the angel." -- Thomas Watson

“While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request to the LORD my God for his holy hill--while I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice. He instructed me and said to me, "Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding. As soon as you began to pray, an answer was given, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed.” Daniel 9:20-23

"Inmate, you are never alone".

The Cross At Ground Zero

When the steel frame cross emerged from the rubble at Ground Zero, it was more than just a symbol of the Christian faith. It was a blessed reminder that Jesus Christ offers us the gift of a rescued life - eternal life.

True Love

12 We ask you, brothers, to respect those who are working hard among you, those who are guiding you in the Lord and confronting you in order to help you change. 13 Treat them with the highest regard and love because of the work they are doing. Live at peace among yourselves; 14 but we urge you, brothers, to confront those who are lazy, your aim being to help them change, to encourage the timid, to assist the weak, and to be patient with everyone.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-14

My holy people; it is time to ask yourself a question.
What is true love?

True love will involve an action.

Now love is patient and kind, not jealous, not boastful, not proud, rude or selfish, not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not gloat over other people's sins but takes its delight in the truth.

Love always bears up, always trusts, always hopes, always endures.
Love never ends.
True love will confront you in order to help you change.
True love will point out sin in your life, in order that you may escape the snare.
True love will tell you hard things in order to make you even stronger.
True love will correct, will instruct, will help you when you don’t even recognize you need help.
True love will not allow you to continue in your sin, but will do whatever it takes to get your attention and get you to change for the good.
True love sees My best in people and lets them know how to better conform to My Kingdom.

My holy people, I am calling forward an army that will exercise true love. My army will not tolerate sin, but will do everything in their power to eradicate it from people’s lives. My army will be empowered to strike the hearts with truth and bring about a radical change in My Church.

Some would say; such and such does not walk in love because they don’t accept any old behavior. I would say … it is time to respect those who are working hard among you: My great army of true love warriors.

Seek My Face. Call upon My Name. Receive My True Love.
